Covid-19 & NKs

NK Cells Play an Important

Role in the Treatment of

Infectious Diseases

A World at Risk

Our innate immune system provides the first line of defense against viruses, bacterial infection and pre-cancerous cells in the body. Fully functioning NK Cells are essential for a robust innate immune system. Covid-19 and other SARS viruses have demonstrated the global health risk of highly transmissible infectious diseases.
Current vaccines are unlikely to fully protect us from future mutations of these viruses, so effective therapies will be critical. Improving respiratory function in SARS patients will assist us in developing effective treatments for other infectious diseases.
