Dr. Kaur was a faculty member in the Division of Oral Biology and Medicine at UCLA, School of Dentistry. Dr. Kaur earned her Bachelor's in dental surgery degree from Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Punjab, India in 2009, her Master in Science degree in Oral Biology/Oral Medicine at UCLA in 2015, and her Ph.D. with Dr. Anahid Jewett at UCLA in 2017. Since 2017, she has been working as a scientist in the Department of Oral Biology and Oral Medicine at UCLA.


Dr. Kaur has published over 65 peer-reviewed scientific articles, 15+ book chapters, and reviewed over 1000 scientific articles in the field of cancer, immunology and cancer therapeutics. She is also the Co-Principal investigator on several research grants at UCLA.


Dr. Kaur has mentored and trained over 100 undergraduate/graduate/post-graduate students, dental students, dental clinicians, and medical doctors. Along with her teaching/research expertise, she is involved in various collaborative projects with investigators from other parts of the USA, and also other countries such as China, Slovenia, Poland, Japan, and Germany.


Dr. Kaur also serves on the editorial board of more than 20 high-impact scientific journal in the field of Cancer and Immunology. She presented her work at more than 50 national and international conferences.


Dr. Kaur’s Master's thesis demonstrated that osteoclasts play a crucial role in natural killer cell activation, and her Ph.D research further explored the role of osteoclasts in functional activation and cell expansion of natural killer cells. Her Ph.D dissertation demonstrated the efficacy of OC-expanded super-charged NK against several kinds of solid cancer using tumor cells (in-vitro) and tumor-bearing humanized-BLT mice (in-vivo).
