Preliminary Medical Evaluation

To start the medical evaluation, our patient coordinator will set up a call with you to discuss your treatment journey and to answer any questions you may have our about therapy and the treatment process. Once the intake call is completed, you will receive access to a HIPAA-compliant folder to upload your medical records.

Once all records have been received, we will start the preliminary medical evaluation to ensure there are no immediate concerns with providing treatment.

Physician Virtual Consultation

Once all potential concerns have been ruled out following your medical record review, our patient coordinator will work with you to set up a virtual call with one of our physicians. During this conversation the doctor will access your overall health and wellness, and conduct further questioning about your treatment journey. Your most recent blood work will be reviewed and you will be scheduled for further blood testing by our team.

Final Medical Evaluation

Once you have passed the preliminary medical evaluation and the virtual consult is complete your records and recent blood work results will be reviewed by the larger medical team. During the final medical evaluation, our team will do a deeper review of your records and begin developing the treatment strategy.

If approved for treatment, one of our patient coordinators will call to share the good news. If treatment is declined, a member of our medical team will reach out to explain the rationale for the decision.

Patient Responsibility

Fees & Services

NK101 is in the experimental stage and we have little data with respect to the treatment of patients suffering from cancer. Based on the limited number of patients treated to date, no adverse safety events have been observed, but no long term human studies have been conducted. A member of our clinical team can discuss the clinical results that have been observed within patients that have received NK101 as you evaluate whether to proceed with this therapy as a palliative treatment option in Cancun.

It is important to understand that NKore is not treating patients in Cancun, we are only referring patients to the Rehealth Clinic, (www.rehealth.com) a licensed treatment facility, for their evaluation to determine whether treatment with NK101 would be appropriate both clinically and in accordance with the palliative care requirements in Mexico.

NKore, as the owner of the product, has a contractual relationship with Rehealth for the manufacturing of the product in Cancun, and various administrative services, but Rehealth provides all clinical services. Accordingly, the fee for treatment would cover the following costs for the initial infusion in Cancun:

(1) Fees payable to the clinical team at the Rehealth Clinic in connection with the infusion of NK101, including the pre-treatment patient evaluation and the post-infusion follow up visit that will be scheduled for you during your time in Cancun;

(2) Any applicable service fees or costs associated with the production or clinical use of NK101;

(3) Fees payable to Dr. Jewett’s lab at UCLA in connection with the testing of immune cell function following the infusions; and

(4) Your transportation costs between the airport in Cancun, your hotel, and the Rehealth Clinic for your initial checkup, the infusion and the follow up visit will also be included in the price. A driver will be assigned to you, and pick-ups and drop-offs will be scheduled by the Rehealth team.

You will be required to incur other incidental costs associated with your care in Cancun, including airfare to and from Mexico, hotel, meals, and any transportation costs that do not include travel associated with your treatment as listed in number 4. If a positive clinical response is observed and you elect to receive subsequent infusions, the expenses for those infusions will cover the same services.
